AJ Garcia-Rameau

In this episode of C12 Stories, I sit down with AJ Garcia-Rameau — a professional dancer, choreographer, and director of Ventana Ballet in Austin, TX. AJ is also a partner at First Street Studio, home to over 60 local performing arts groups, and balances her artistic career with a role as a Field Service Engineer in tech. We talk about her full circle journey from Houston to Austin to the North then north east and back to Austin, as well as her classical and contemporary ballet training, performing and choreographing across the country, and how she’s built platforms that create opportunities for local artists while making dance accessible to the community. And yes… you may even catch me learning and demoing some ballet positions along the way!
